CDH Enablement for Grocery

This project aims to migrate customer master data for the grocery business from CETUS (mainframe) to Oracle CDH, using custom pages and Oracle’s standard features. Integration with Oracle EBS through GoldenGate ensures real-time data sync. The result is improved data governance, reduced manual effort and a more scalable, centralized system.

Problem

Statement

The grocery division currently manages customer master data using the legacy CETUS mainframe system. The goal is to migrate this data management process to Oracle Customer Data Hub (CDH) to improve efficiency and streamline operations. Additionally, integration between the mainframe and Oracle EBS needs to be enhanced using Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data synchronization.

Solution

Proposed

  • Leverage Oracle CDH’s out-of-the-box functionality to support customer data requirements.
  • Develop custom Oracle Application Framework (OAF) pages to manage entities like CORP, SA CORP and GROUP.
  • Define and implement User-Defined Attributes (UDAs) and Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs) to store relevant customer information.
  • Set up seamless data integration between the legacy CETUS system and Oracle CDH using Oracle EBS and GoldenGate for smooth data flow.

Business

Values

01

All Customer Master Data will be centralized within Oracle CDH post go-live.

02

Feeder systems can access consistent, accurate data directly from the CDH.

03

Improves data integrity and reduces redundancy across systems.

04

Saves time and manual effort, resulting in operational efficiency and reduced resource dependency.
